Have a question about Dermaceutic Dual Plus?
Dermaceutic Dual Plus
Oily, blemish-prone skin with dark marks is the dual challenge most skincare fails to address properly — anti-acne products ignore pigmentation, and brightening products ignore active blemishes. Dual+ solves both simultaneously with a unique combination of two azelaic acid forms, Hexylresorcinol and Alpha-Arbutin — targeting bacteria, sebum, pore congestion and melanin production in a single evening treatment. Not for use during pregnancy.

Is Dermaceutic Dual+ right for you?
- You have oily or acne-prone skin AND dark marks or uneven tone simultaneously
- You have tried acne products that cleared blemishes but left dark marks behind
- You want a single product that addresses both active blemishes and existing pigmentation
- You have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark marks from previous spots)
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
How Dermaceutic Dual+ works — the science
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — the dark marks left by healed blemishes — coexists with ongoing blemish formation, meaning patients need both anti-acne and brightening activity simultaneously. Most products are formulated for one or the other.
Dual+ addresses both pathways in a single formulation. The two azelaic acid forms deliver anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-comedogenic activity — reducing active blemishes, controlling sebum, and preventing new comedone formation. Simultaneously, Hexylresorcinol and Alpha-Arbutin deliver complementary brightening activity — Hexylresorcinol fades existing pigmentation while Alpha-Arbutin prevents new dark mark formation after blemishes heal.
What you will notice — and when
Week 2–3: Active blemishes reduce in severity. Pores appear less congested. Week 4–6: New blemish formation reducing. Existing dark marks beginning to lighten. Week 8–12: Progressive fading of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Skin tone becoming more uniform.
How to use Dermaceutic Dual+
- Apply in the evening after cleansing
- Apply a thin, even layer to affected areas or entire face
- Allow to absorb before applying moisturiser (Hyal Ceutic)
- Apply SPF50+ every morning
- Introduce gradually — begin 3 evenings per week and increase to nightly as skin adjusts

Dr. Bangalee's clinical perspective
| Dr. Bangalee Recommends | Dual+ fills a genuine gap — oily, blemish-prone skin with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is extremely common, particularly in darker skin tones, and until products like Dual+ existed we had to layer two separate evening treatments. A single well-formulated product that does both is a significant practical advance. I recommend this for acne patients as a bridge treatment: in-clinic acne management combined with Dual+ home care. |
What our patients say
| I have been dealing with spots AND dark marks for years. Dual+ is the first product that has addressed both at the same time. | The azelaic acid controls my oiliness without drying my skin, and the brightening actives are working on my PIH. My skin is the clearest it has been in five years. | Dr. Bangalee prescribed this alongside in-clinic acne treatment. Fewer new spots AND the old marks are fading. |
Frequently asked questions
| Can I use Dual+ if my skin is sensitive? | Azelaic acid is generally well-tolerated — it is one of the few anti-acne actives suitable for sensitive skin. Some initial mild tingling is normal. Introduce gradually. |
| Can I use Dual+ with retinol? | Use on alternate evenings — not on the same night. Dr. Bangalee will advise the appropriate combined protocol for your specific concern. |
