How NeoStrata Enlighten Pigment Controller works — the science

Melanin is produced by specialised cells called melanocytes through a biochemical pathway triggered by the enzyme tyrosinase. The Pigment Controller contains clinically dosed inhibitors of this pathway — reducing the signal that triggers excess melanin production, slowing the rate of tyrosinase activity, and interrupting the transfer of melanin granules from melanocytes to the surrounding skin cells where they create visible discolouration.

3. In the morning, always follow with Enlighten Skin Brightener SPF35 or another broad-spectrum SPF.
4. For focused spots, apply with the fingertip directly to the area of concern.
